In General

-Some characters aren't as friendly as others. Get over it. It doesn't mean you have to take to fighting out of character with that person.
-No powerplaying/godmodding.
-Listen to and respect the staff members. Their word is law.
-If you aren't going to be on at least once a week(minus when you go on vacation and such of course), please, don't join.
-You may either have a lead stallion of a herd, or own a stable. Both is not an option.
-Herds and stables will be added as the game progresses so that their is always space. If all three stables are claimed, but only have one boarder each then don't ask for another stable to be made. Another one will be made when the stable are almost full.
-You don't need to wait to be accepted, but if you are asked to change something, you must go through all your posts and change it there as well as in your form.

Horses

-Stallions may breed at the age of 3.
-Mares may breed at the age of 4.
-Foals are to have their own stall be, at the maximum, age 1, or have a space in outdoor boarding(if available)
-Horses must be 2 or older to show Halter
-Eventing horses must be 5 or older to start showing.
-Any other discipline may begin to be shown in at age 3 for flat classes, and 4 for over fences classes.
-Horses will age on January 1st and July 1st. Not before, not after.
-Pregnant mares will give birth 5 months after being bred, to go along with the aging time line. I suggest writing down the date your mare gives birth so you don't forget how long you've waited.
-You are to keep your horse's points updated regularly in their profile.

Wild Horses

-Lone horses may wander anywhere except the Herdlands(even though the herdlands are technically spread over the other places).
-A lone horse may get caught, but, unless stated in the topic description as free for capture, they must have a chance to get away, such as hearing the person who catches them coming.
-Fighting, breeding, foaling, and anything else happens in the Herdlands.
-There is an annual round up on the first day of each year(Jan. 1st and July 1st), during which one herd is picked via slips of paper in a hat and then rounded up. Those who want to get caught will say so, and if no one wants to get caught, a third of the herd will be picked from a hat. The lead stallion is always released. Foals are more likely to get caught.
-All wild horses are mustangs, except for the occasional escapee. Remember, escapes don't happen often, as horses are usually taken care of, and have people keeping eyes closely on them.
-Lead stallions can try and steal horses from a stable, but the horse's player and the barn owner must agree, and so must a staff member.

Humans/Stables

-You may do anything a human does in real life, but please let people know if the topic will be higher than a PG13 rating.
-Anyone under the age of 18 must live with a parent or a guardian, or live in the orphanage.
-You may own as many horses as you like, but keep in mind you have to have the space and money for them(or, in case of space, be able to find it)
-Each stable focuses on one discipline mainly, but they will probably have the facilities that allow borders to ride in other disciplines.
-If you aren't active, or you don't keep it up to date(aka: telling an admin about things that need to be changed, if it requires the changing of boards), then the stable will be put back up for sale, and you won't get money for it.
-If you own a stable, you should hire stable hands, trainers(or assistant trainers), riding coaches, etc to help you out.

Auctions and Sales

-Auctions are to be started by a staff member, or someone who has gained permission from a staff member. Staff, no letting everybody do it.
-If the auction runner allows it, you may add a horse to an auction, even if you don't have permission to start one yourself.
-An auction must have at least three horses in it, unless it's the annual round-up auction, and the herd was small.
-Don't post about what the horse is doing. Post the horses information, and start the bidding.
-If there hasn't been a bid for 24-hours, then the horse is sold. Auctions go quick in real life, and 24 hours is plenty of time. If you end up not getting on, then too bad. There's always another horse.
-Horses can be sold by anyone, whether they be played owners, or NPC(non-played character) owners. NPC owners should only e used when the horse is just created, or if it's owner went inactive and was deleted.
-The horse may be played in a sale, since it is only one horse, and not 3+
-Newly created horses should be lower priced then horses who have been shown and have points. If the horse got all it's points from first places in a few shows, instead of low places in many shows, that should also be reflected in the price.

Money
-People over the age of 18 start off with $500, 000.
-Use the following 'cheque' form to pay someone, and show the change in your bank account.

Code:

[b]To:[/b]
[b]From:[/b]
[b]Amount:[/b]
[b]For:[/b]

-Keep your bank account updated regularly, or face the consequences of having a staff member remove money from it.

Show Types/Showing Rules

-There are scheduled shows, that are constant, that give money and points, and are held at the show arena.
-Barn owners can also schedule their own shows at their barn. these shows only give points, and occasionally prizes bought by the barn owners, like saddle pads and halters.
-Halter horses must be two or older to compete. They are judged on personality and conformation.
-Hunter horses must be three or older to compete in flat, and four or older to compete in over fences. They are judged on conformation, even pace, and any other nit-picky things.
-Jumper horses must be four or older to compete. They are judged on getting a clear round, and then the fastest time in the jump off, with faults counting towards their time.
-Dressage horse must be three or older to compete. They are judged on their movement, the correctness of each step in the test, and other things, much like hunter in the respect of lots of things.
-Cross Country horses must be five or older to compete. They are judged on time and amount of faults.
-Eventing horses must be five or older to compete. They compete in three different disciplines; Show Jumping, Cross Country, and Dressage.
