Administrator Posts: 451 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: December 17, 2007	Mai, finally having been able to sneak away from Kari and Tristen for the moment, had saddled up Angel quickly. There was a show coming up, own of her recently started series, and she was going to take part. Kari had promised to help run it while she showed, so it was fine. Reaching the ring, she'd joined into the warm-up her two newest boarders were doing, since they were just starting as well. Angel, knowing they were in an arena and not on the trails, instantly begin to round up under the contact. She was older, so more experienced, and knew what was expected of her. Nice mare. Shiloh, or Shy as he'd told her to call him, while bowing and grabbing her hand to kiss her fingers the other day, commented. Mai rolled her eyes. He was a complete flirt, but not all bad. But the blond hair definitely got to his brain sometimes, more so than his twin sister, Skylar, or Sky. She, luckily, hadn't gotten overly dramatic, like Shy had. Does she jump? This time it was Sky's voice that piped up. The two were walking side by side before, on their horses Imp and Mia. Well, as close as they could get, since Imp was a stallion, albeit a well behaved one. As if having twin boarders wasn't enough, their horses were sired and birthed by the same pair of horses, both Trakehners, and only one year apart, though, of course, it was closer to two years than one. No, she's dressage. Her builds a bit heavy to do too much jumping, though she'd do it if I asked her. We've built a trusting relationship. The two nodded, before picking up their reins and asking their horses to trot, falling into a line on the track, with Imp in front, since he was, after all, a stallion. Mai followed them, but instead of posting, as the other two were doing, she stayed sitting, her seat deep, with help from the dressage saddle. She glanced to the path leading to the ring and noticed Tristen approaching. Ah damn. He's gonna yank me off. Stupid doctor's orders. She mumbled. His decision wouldn't be helped since she wasn't wearing her helmet, since it was still the slightest bit too tight on the bruise that was still on her head. Shy, nearby, loked at her curiously as he overheard her, and then looked the way she was looking. My, my. Could that be a Tristen Mckenzie I see? He called voer with a grin, and both he and Sky stopped near the fence, and Sky raised a hand off her reins to wave. You know each other? We skipped two grades, and went to high school with him. Ah. Go figure. It was Shy who was answering Mai.

Shiloh and Skylar Andelo. Recognition swept through him and he leaned against the arena fence. Its been a while, man where have you two been? Tristen put the papers in his back pocket and crossed the fence to get to Mai as he was talking. Though happy to see the two siblings he was a little rankled to see Mai riding. He lifted a hand to Mai’s leg and raised an eyebrow, then quietly asked where her helmet was.

She was attempting to look perfectly innocent, but she knew she was far from it. Sky, in the meantime, raised an eyebrow. Where have we been? What do you mean?! You're the one who left home first!! Geez, Tee, you're dumber than you look. She's got a point, ya know. Mai looked between the twins and Tristen. You...know each other? Shy would've ridden up beside her, but Angel was a mare, so it wouldn't have worked well. Well, yeah. We skipped two grades, went to high school with him. Didn't know he rode, mind you. And what happened to make wearing a helmet hurt? Sky sighed. Her brother was on such a one track mind. It's a long story. Mai replied evasively, giving Shy a death glare that made Sky burst out laughing. So much for his self-proclaimed 'charm'.

What are you saying about looking dumb, blondie? He raised a hand and mockingly brushed at his hair, teasing just like they did in school. It wasn’t Tristen’s place to say anything about Mai’s accident so he kept his mouth shut about it. So how did you happen upon these two? He motioned to the twin’s horses.

Sky replied, her eyes lighting up with laughter. Imp and Mia? At a sale. The barn was downsizing. They're brother and sister, which influenced the decision. Mai, before Tristen could pull her off, spun Angel around, picking up a sitting trot again. Even if he tried to chase her, he'd never catch up.

Sky rolled her eyes. He's hopeless. She muttered, before following them, picking up a trot instead, and steering Mia to a low crossrail for a warm-up. -after your next post I'll have a timeskip to them cooling out or something-

And, of course, Mai was smiling, until Shy came over. Then her smile turned into a frown and a glare, and she trotted over to the gate. Sky got a shocked look on her face for a second, then shrugged following her. Shy, who hadn't cooled out yet, had no choice but to stay behind or look abusive. Hey, Tristen. Wanna open the gate for me? Mai called out as she neared it.

Shy wouldn't follow--He had to go to the stallion barn to untack. Mai was grateful for that. Sure, him being here meant money, but he was just plain annoying. His sister, on the other hand, was, although exactly the same, was also the complete opposite. Maybe it was just because Mai got along better with females. After all, guys were easy to mistrust when you were a woman. With an exception of Tristen. He was just a big pushover. If she asked him to do something, chances are, he'd do it. Shy just seemed to be some sort of freak who just wanted every pretty lady to fawn over him. Well, it wasn't going to happen here. Sky came over to Mai after getting Mia all cleaned up and in her stall. Sorry 'bout Shy. He's a bit...egotistical sometimes. That's the understatement of the year. The fact that we could get practically any music contract and become famous gets to his head. He thinks he's all that sometimes. Sometimes? Okay, all the time. Mai was silent for a moment. Ya know, for identical twins, you sure have different personalities. Not really...It's just blondism seems to affect him more, if you get my drift. He's never really known when to keep his mouth shut. Mai smiled and nodded, slipping off the saddle. Hey! Tristen! Get your ass over here and make yourself useful! She called out, placing the tack on a set of racks just outside the stall. Sweep the aisle and finish mucking those stalls, will ya? Kari shouldn't have to do everything!

Well, you've figured him out pretty quick. Kari popped into Angel's stall at that moment however, and began dragging Mai down to the stall tristen was in. Oh, go help your boyfriend already! He's not my boyfriend! Hikari Delandau! I'm going to kill you! This normally would've spooked a horse, but, by now, all the horses were used to it, except, of course, Mia. Aw, you won't kill me. I'm your little sister. She smiled and gave Mai a final push, sending her sprawling into Tristen.

Deal with it by yourself. She went to pull away, but her strength still wasn't up to par, and riding hadn't exactly helped build it up, so his grip stayed firm.

Then Tristen piped in with one of his stupid comments again. Scowling, but knowing she couldn't get away, she reached up, pinning his ear lobe between two fingernails and pulling. Well the only thing you really have to strangle me with is this... and your hands. He shot a fake nervous glance at her hands and surpressed a smile, not sure how she would handle it. She got over it quickly however--For some reason, he seemed to be full of surprises. She rolled her eyes. You push your luck. I say yes, I'll never hear the end of it. I say no, I still won't hear the end of it. She bit her lip in thought for a second. Unless...We don't tell Kari...Or Sky, by the looks of it. Maybe it'll make Shy give up his stupid, freakish attempts. She, of course, wanted to say yes, but she wasn't about to let him know that. So, she was making up sensible reasons. If only for the sake of making Shiloh stop....Fine.

You have absolutely made my day. No! You've made more than just my day. This is great. He stood there for a moment and just looked at her, unsure what to do next. Well, this is for you. A blush crept up his neck and he handed it to her, knowing his hands were probably filthy.
