Intermediate Posts: 61 Group: Members Member #8 Joined: July 24, 2008	I pulled into the small parknig lot near the main barn and hopped out of my truck. I went around back and took down the ramp and went into the trailer, unlocking the divider and peeking through, armed with a leadrope and carrots.

Administrator Posts: 451 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: December 17, 2007	Whenever the trailer was still and she didn't have to focus on balance, the mare had been banging at the trailer with one of her four hooves, varying throughout the whole ride. Seeing the ramp come down, she attempted to turn first, then found it was too difficult before she tried to back up, not caring if there were bars in her way. She wanted out and she wanted out now.

I gave her a carrot piece and then opened the divider door. Figuring the mare would try to rush, I began walking towards the exit, hoping not to get dragged.

Once out, she hopped a bit in small rears, not more than a foot or two off the ground, until she had gotten herself facing away from the trailer. And then she froze completely, nostrils flared, eyes wide, taking in everything around her.

It was open, but at the same time there were buildings. It threw her off completely. She shuffled a bit in place, head swinging around so she could look at everything, not just most of it.

I said to her as I began leading her away from the barns and towards the large enclosed field. I let out a whistle and soon enough, a beautiful coppery chestnut mare cantered up to the fence in one of the pastures. Hey Dream. I said as we came to the gate.

As Jordan led the new mare in I went over and nuzzled her pocket, knowing treats were there. She gave me one and I crunched on it happily.As Jordan unsnapped the lead line and exited the pasture, I eyed the other mare warily. Hello, I'm Dream.

Feeling thirsty, Vicky trotted over to the bucket thing with water and took a sip. However, as soon as the water level lowered, the waterer began refilling to the previous depth, and scared Vicky half to death. She reared a bit and backed away as quickly as she could until she was a few good feet away, nostrils flaring again as she snorted nervously.
