Pre-War C-47 Markings? No such animal. DC-2 (C-33 and C-39) existed. Douglas didn't deliver the first C-47 until after the war started. 10 or so were "on the line" on Dec 7, 1941. C-53s were delivered in October '41. The only DC-3 used in Military service were airliners being used to survey transport routes. These were Pan Am DC-3s.
