The court of LAST RESORT!

Big developments for me. A year and a half after getting laid off and becoming self employed, I've gotten a new position with a firm. (Yea). In addition, the modelwife and I are buying a new, much bigger house, about 9 miles from the current location of 72nd scale nirvana (a.k.a my workshop)

While I am pleased with these developments, a return to full time employment and a move will really play havoc with my modeling. However, I can't really complain. When the move occurs, I'll document it on here so you can all share in my joy/pain. In the meantime, I am going to try and step up production in anticipation of future interruptions in production. (As Stalin would say, "Long live the glorious 5 month production plan!)

Congratulations and my condolences as appropriate.

I wish you well on the move, those are always awful.

I don't think I have finished one kit that was in progress at my last move 5 years ago. I have started and finished a few since the move, but most of the in progress stuff hasn't been touched.

Aaron, I worry about this and am hoping to finish several before the move.

Good life stuff happening is always endurable. It's the bad life stuff happening that really gets in the way. So good for you that this is a plus experience overall, and I hope that when it sorts out, the hobby will be better than ever for you.

You are absolutely correct.

These things are clear blessings.

I appreciate all the good thoughts.
