F-Toys are better known for 1/144 kits, unmade but prepainted, sold in randomly-selected sets of 10 for trading. They are tooled by Platz, so the quality is high. However, they also do 1/72 scale kits, hence almost justifying my attempt to ask for help here. Does anyone know a way of obtaining an individual example from a set? I've already (thank you Google) found a trader called Radjapan, but he didn't have the one I want.

I am fairly sure I have seen them on eBay from time to time, offered as sets of eight, sets of four and individual kits. It's not a subject that would normally catch my attention, so don't quote me on it, but I am pretty sure that was the case. And in the back of the ol' grey matter, I'm recalling it may have been a seller in either Japan or Hong Kong.

I don't think this is what you are referring to, but here is something from Hobby Link Japan that I bought out of curiosity. It's likely more toy than model but it is currently in private warehouse so I have not yet seen it.
I think I may have seen 1:700 modular ship models on HLJ from them as well.

I have seen a very complimentary review of their 1/72 Judy, which I think was described as being the first of a new series from them. However, these are normally available separately, whereas the Gashapon kits do not. They come in sets of ten, which are made up of a random selection taken from three different subjects, each in three different colour schemes.
