Ran across this very nice build of this kit:

It appears to me this kit continues the shallow fire wall issue of AZ’s early G series, though; in these photos at least, it definitely has that same “pencil-necked geek” sort of look! This is a bit surprising since their F’s came after their G-10 series, which—in spite of some new weirdnesses of its own—does fix this problem.

Just wondering if I’m seeing this right, or maybe the photos are distorting things a bit? Anybody own the AZ F and have an opinion?

I like the RZ65 pods... It does look a little pinched in the oil cooler to wing area though.

Just measured one, F has the same problem as G. As the two airframes are so similar, they probably used the same basic tooling for both. I wouldn't be surprised if the F was actually ready to go before the G-10 but got released later especially after the issues with the G were identified.
Cheers,

Thank you, gents! Very interesting observations.

I will stick with my Fine Molds and Zvezda F’s for now!
