Of about 100 different albums I have on there I seem to have all but one on External HD, interested in how I can get those photos back from that album?

I tried right click, but the save picture as doesn't work, same as Copy/Paste can anyone tell me how they got theirs back?

As soon as PB started this crap last year, I went there and downloaded all my pictures back onto my computer. That function was still working. Soon after, PB deleted that, so they could hold people's pictures hostage.

I never took any of my pix off my computer, so PB has nothing of mine to ransom.

'Free' is always temporary, but it's how they limit 'free' that defines who they are.

I tried logging on the other day out of curiosity. It was still glacially slow, and only loaded the ads and pop-ups. My albums refused to come up at all (although it claimed the pics were still there.) Fortunately I never uploaded anything to PB that wasn't already backed up on multiple hard drives. I've switched over to Imgur and have been happy with it so far.

Well, that worked. You can post your PB images even if you only have the free account.

Chris, it's a grace period, if you don't cough up the images will disappear eventually.

Botophucket seems to have restored some links but not others. There are still thousands of the ransom icons in forums. For instance
https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234916343-supermarine-southampton-comparative-build/
Personally I wouldn't touch Botophucket with a barge pole, let alone pay them any money.
I think the future is boards that host their own pictures or learning a bit of html to host ones own pictures.

I can only echo the the post of Ed above. I am a member of only 3 modelling fora, here on 72nd scale and two Dutch ones. One of the Dutch fora hosts its own picture database which works great. However, third party hosting is understandably frowned upon as this uses up bandwidth intended for the forum users. For the others I used Photobucket, with the results we all know.
I decided not to use another "free" photo hosting site as these are probably going to demand payment somewhere in the future. Being greedy (Dutch! ;) ) I decided to use the server space my internet provider offers for users. It doesn't take a genius to set this up as even I can do it. So check if your subscription offers server space and make use of it. The only risk then is that your IPS goes bankrupt, but that market has been stabilized for years so I think this is an acceptable risk.

Oh, I'm not going back to PB. They've shot their wad now and I'm done with them. I was just trying it out.
