Mr. Numerick, as one of your legion of loyal followers and a Bf 109 fan, I was curious which half-dozen or so 109 references, are your favorites?

I'd be particularly interested to know about those which you consider to have worthwhile drawings.

Thanks!

I'd like to see that list as well.

Hey guys, I'm not ignoring the question, but every spare minute has been devoted to getting the 209 H done. I was post a comprehensive list when it is finished.

In the meantime, probably the best researched book in my library is the JaPo volume on the Bf 109 G-10:

It covers my favorite version of the 109, with meticulously researched text and great artwork.

Their two volumes on the 109 K are equal in scope, but this was early in their publishing history and the color side views are very basic compared to what they are doing today, which is unsurpassed in my opinion. Here is a sample.

Thanks Barry! Yikes, I can’t even imagine how long it would take to catalog your whole 109 library, LOL—I was just mostly curious as to a short list of the maestro’s favorites.

I fully concur on the JaPo books! I have all three of their “red cover” 109 books, and they are fabulous. Don’t miss the new-ish one on KG(J) 6 by the way; fascinating history, lots of unpublished pics, and 15 color profiles with emphasis on Erla G-10’s with checkered tail bands.

JaPo’s two hardbound volumes on the Fw 190D are the same only bigger, and would—no exaggeration—be the first thing I’d grab if my house were on fire...
