Yes the standard wing kit is the one to start with.

However you should be aware that it is not as easy as it appears at first glance,

The A-8 had an additional fuel tank accessed by the large panel on the on the bottom of the fuselage just behind the cockpit.

As this was in the position where other equipment had been previously, this equipment was moved.

More importantly from a modelling aspect several access hatches were moved compared to the A6-A7.

These changes need to be reversed to get an A6-A7 in addition to the other more obvious changes.

OK...away from home, so trusting the shaky old memory here...

Your assumption is correct. That "standard wing" kit has Eduard's sprue "H," with A-8 fuselage, and the so-called "early A-8" wing with outboard MG 151's, and no bulge on top of the wing.

The Royal Class release has a sprue "I" which is the same basic wing, but without the outboard guns mounted, and a flush panel beneath.

For an A-6 you'd combine this with the MG 17 nose guns of course. For either an A-6 or A-7, use the shorter, more rearward-placed version of the ETC 501 centerline rack; and either re-do a few access panel lines as Mr. Mackenzie mentioned, or use an Eduard A-5 fuselage (if you take the latter route, add the MG 131 nose guns back for an A-7).
