The Lancaster is ho hum, but I like the Lincoln.
The early Spits and the late Spits are attractive. The middle Spits (5 thru 9) are meh.
The F-102 is OK. The F-106 is the sexiest jet ever made.
The Jumo powered 109s are much more attractive then the DB powered a/c.
The SBD is cool. The SB2C is not.

I wonder why?

No need to explain or even wonder why. We're all different and that's what keeps the world from being a mundane place. It's also what ensures a wide selection of model kits being made available to us from a myriad of different manufacturers, in a variety of different media, etc. Not to mention all the decal sheets and detail add-ons.

Think yourself lucky that you're not just another Messerschmitt or Spitfire aficionado, especially one who thinks Tamiya, Hasegawa and Eduard are the only game in town.
