Although I own an Aztec, I've never tried the spatter nozzle. I tried using that airbrush once and hated it, so the experimentation stopped. That being said my gut feeling is a spatter nozzle won't work for Luftwaffe camo. I've done a lot of mottling over the years, and my experience has shown me that a very tight, fine spray pattern is needed to produce a scale soft edge. A spatter nozzle does just the opposite. Your basic full size spray gun produces a 7-8 inch wide fan, the outer 2 inches is where you get your fade between colors. That 2 inches is about .023 in 1/72 scale. The haziness of mottling is produced both by the fade between colors and that often it's a rather thin coat of paint that's somewhat transparent. Give it a try though, I'd be interested to hear what your results are. Even if it doesn't work, you may discover it's useful for something you hadn't even thought of yet. Cheers, Woody |

Owned and used an Azrec for close on 30 years, and on my 2nd one, have had the splatter nozzle since it first came out, do remember I experimented with it, but have no memory of it, so couldn't have been anything I thought useful |

It's useless for anything model related. I have had several Aztek Airburshes ever since Testors started selling them in the early 90's. 5 Nozzles are usable: Black, White, Tan, Gray, and Turquoise. The rest are for the artist who work in paper and ink or photography. |

In my experience every nozzle on an Aztek is a spatter nozzle!
