Grumman F4F-3 vs F4F-4 modifications?; Good photos, drawings tec

Does anyone know of a good set of side by side drawings or photos to help backdate an F4F-4 to an F4F-3? I know the basic changes that need to be made, gun ports, fill the wingfold seam, re-scribe some panel lines but it would help to see what exactly needs to be done.

A step by step tutorial would be awesome, but just a good illustration of the changes should be sufficient.

This page has a -3 wing drawing, his work is exceptional, you'll have to scroll down.

I've got the Quick Boost resin wings--I could take a picture or two. OTOH, I don't know if QB's work is accurate. I got the set as an inclusion to the Hase kit at a club auction.

Tim that is a great site, Thank you

Mark appreciate the offer but from what I've heard Quickboost wings aren't really worth bothering with. They just filled in the wing fold seams and the extra gun port, but didn't make any other changes.
I can fill seams and gun ports easily enough. I'm really not too worried about every panel line but apparently the location of the guns is quite different and not addressed by simply filling the extra holes.

Thanks

Get the Arma/Attack Hobby wings. They are correct.

Also, Dana Bell's book provides you all the info you need on the differences.

Yes, comparing the drawings to the QB wings, the guns are about 3mm too far outboard for a -3. and the panels are a little bit different than they should be. This is more obvious on the underside than on the topside, so (given I didn't pay anywhere near full market for the kit) I'll live with it. Deleting that outer pair of guns and the wing fold is the more obvious detail, though it's a pity they didn't look closely, because the remaining guns *had* to be moved outboard to allow for the wing fold when they got to the -4.

Yeah I wouldn't throw out the Quickboost wings or anything if I had a set, but they don't really offer anything. The work that their change represents is probably similar to doing a websearch and ordering a set.

I'm actually kind of surprised that there aren't more conversions to correct / convert the various Wildcats. It is such an iconic aircraft, though admittedly it doesn't have the looks of a P51 or Spitfire. I like the porky little things.

David, I'll add the book to my list. I think I can make the changes myself, doesn't look to hard but thanks for the tip on a correct wing set.

I like the Wildcat too, and so many neat little variations and markings, especially when you throw in the British a/c.
