Held 04 June 11 in beautiful Warner Robins, GA, USA. Number of entries were down slightly from last year but the quality was way up. Participation in 1/72 was up from last year, too. Oh yeah, it was hot as blue blazes: heat index well over 100 degrees F. But, we were cool indoors in this venue....

Entries down by how much? Just wondering if the crappy economy is going to hurt a lot of shows.

Three less contestants (56 vs 59) but 29 fewer models entered (222 vs 251). We had all the vendors we could handle (18 with 54 tables filled). In fact we had to turn some back. Even when we had three no shows the morning of the contest, others were there to fill in the vacancies.

We made it a point to try to accomodate everyone and keep everyone happy. Have heard nothing but positive feedback. Worst I heard was a vendor desiring more customers (whenever is that NOT the case) but I believe they all made enough to cover their fuel bills at least. When asked they all seemed happy and expressed a desire to return next year. In that regard, I'd have to consider it a success.

Cheers,
Jay,
