The Kickoff Classic was very well attended by 1/72 scale builders this year. The quality level was very high with guys like Chuck Betz, Marty Sanford, Larry Meadinger and others. I was pleased to place 2nd with my Bf109E-4 behind Chuck's beautiful Fw 190A-4 in winter colors. Chuck attached the Tamiya wing to a Hasegawa fuselage with impressive results. I will have to give this a look.

The Spit Mk I is Airfix and placed a 1st, the Devastator was a mix of Airfix and Valom parts...and the result looked quite good actually. The Swiss Bf 109E took a third and looked really sharp as well.

The Sabre is the new Airfix kit. It looked very nice despite the builder's finish issues.

Enjoy the pics,

Thanks for the pictures Joe, they certainly look nice.

Any multi-engined stuff on display?

Those are some impressive builds, Joe. Always nice to see the models at the shows, thanks for taking us along!

Congrats on your placing, too!
Jeff

Time spent modeling is not deducted from your lifespan.

I spent most of my money on beer and women. The rest of it I just wasted.
