Hello,
I had promised to show you some pictures of the European Model Expo 2012 in Heiden / Germany. I was there yesterday and it was great again. Heiden is situated about 400km from me and I went that way, back and forth on that day. But again did the german autobahn where you can go fast when you have a fast car .... The diesel currently costs 1.51 € / liter, and I drove a little more slowly country. O.K. this is a different story, here are the pictures

The next models are by Wolfgang Henrich, a very good model builder, I like his style.

Thanks Ralf, looks like it was a good show. Strange to see that the subjects vary little from what we see in the US.

Lots of nice work there! Thanks for sharing, Ralf!

I love the A-4s, always a favorite of mine.

Time spent modeling is not deducted from your lifespan.

I spent most of my money on beer and women. The rest of it I just wasted.

Thanks Ralf, nice to see an Aussie A-4 on the tables all the way over there. :D

Is it common to cover the swastikas on the WWII German subjects at shows in Germany? I know there are laws in the EU about it.

Hallo,
nice that you like it.

@RayS We can not show in Germany, the swastika in public. In the other countries of the EU, it is not prohibited.

@InchHigh and RayS Both A-4`s looks outstanding.

I still have a few pictures

Thanks again Ralf, that Transall in the second lot of photos looks excellent. I am a modern multi-engined aircraft model fan!

All of them are beautifully done, the show must have been an incredible feast. Great to see A6M2 Zero in Saburo Sakai's markings not beaten up and "chipped" to death as (unfortunately) has become a norm with almost all WWII Japanese subjects. Putting that model on a carrier deck is rather inaccurate though since Tainan Air Group (=Kokutai, code V-xxx) never operated from an air carrier.
I wish I could stop this unfortunate trend of over-accentuating panel lines (among other things such as pre-post shading etc. etc.) as seen in the very first picture of the otherwise very nice A-4.
Cheers,
Mario
