Well, I got a little package from Gilles today. I've given a look to the Stampe kit, and so far, it looks very nice. You can't miss the "MPM" signature on the moldings, so obviously, it isn't going to be a starter kit, but very pretty so far. I've got the camera battery on charge, and I'll get a few shots of the sprues and things up ASAP. The Aerobatic single-seater has caught my eye, and I may have to make an earnest attempt at building it. Irresistibly cute little thing. Many thanks to Gilles for everything, of course. |

Some quick shots of the Stampe kit...![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Seems they have taken great care with the strut location points. That can only be a big help. Two engine cowl options, three propellers, windshields and enclosures for both single and dual seat, pre-hollowed cowl scoops as separate bits, skid and tailwheel, and decent surface treatments. Looks like a very nice kit of this little plane. I love the one on the boxtop. |

Does look very nice Robert, & I agree about the machine on the boxtop! One thing - I take it that sprue 'attachment point' to the canopy side window doesn't actually attach & is blanked off in the mould. Be a bit of a pain to clean up if it's not! |

That attachment point is similar to the front one. A big bump on top with a small, flat gate on the edge of the part. No problem, the canopies appear very good. The separate windscreens are nicely delicate. After I'd looked over the Stampe, I dug out my old Heller Jungmeister kit. Wonder if anyone ever did aerobatic type markings for that? |

Ah thanks, I can see it now - I thought the big R2D2 head type shape was the attachment point...!! |

I was actually worried about putting that picture up here for that reason. I thought it looked like the canopy was rendered all but useless by the apparent sprue attachment. Y'know, I had always thought the Stampe and the Tiger Moth were nearly identical. Almost scarey how much different they actually are. |
