Thanks Cliff, yeah it was, sinfully so. He was happy to clear out the stash to make room for WNW kits. Heretic! They are truly nice kits though, just the wrong scale. (Sure wish they'd make some in our scale, maybe we ought to petition them?)

Isn't it just weird as all get out that Hasegawa hasn't produced a new 1/72nd a/c in years and years?

Sad there's nothing new from Fine Molds too.

Just sayin'.

I need to lay low on purchases. A forum member on another forum sold me over 100 of his 1/72nd WWI kits at $1.00 each to clear out his stash.

Shhhhhhh, I'm still trying to find places to stash the stash.

Warren

Speaking of Fine Molds, I still need to pick up the Aoshima Ki-100s.

Can you say Osprey & Eurofighter? Not as prolific as in the past, but it's not nothing.

Fine Molds did that very cute Ka-14 2 years ago. They've been mostly doing armor lately.
Life is too short for poor kits.

Add to that the E-2C/2000, Su-33 & Su-35......

Italeri is the same way, a lot of reboxes, very few new 1/72 scale kits.

You guys do realize that the Revell-Germany Fishbed is the MiG-21F Fishbed C that was released a few years ago, it's just being re-boxed. I wish that they would re-release their Hunters.

Hasegawa has also released the new tool F35A last year, so they are still producing modern aircraft.

My friend is to thank for the F106 - He has spent the last year researching and correcting/super detailing the old Hasegawa kit. He will be pleased with this announcment :P

Cheers

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope see to Eduard add to their Me.110 line of kits, giving us an Me.110F and an Me.110E trop.

Me-110F has been already announced in their new catalogue for 2015. I suppose Eduard is going to release it in the middle of the year.

About time their F13 and Hunter were re-boxed, overall excellent kits that should never have gone out of stock for so long

Looks like Polish companies are omitted. This year is going to be really great for people building Polish planes in 1/72. Definitely is not a dying scale.

IBG (first time making planes in 1/72)

IBG 72502 RWD-8 DWL 72 middle of the year
IBG 72501 RWD-8 PWS 72 middle of the year
IBG RWD-8

Yes, IBG have my interest, with their announced "Polish Wings" series. I plan to get their RWD-8 as soon as both boxings became available; their next choices are also quite interesting and even a bit bold.

Apart from the PZL P.6 fighter prototype, flown by B. Orliński at the National Air Races in 1931 (another Polish company is working on their own kit of the P.6 though, but in resin), and the Lublin R.XIII army co-operation parasol monoplane, which was used in September 1939 campaign, the other aircraft are quite exotic for non-Polish enthusiasts, at least as mainstream injected kits go, especially the RWD-17 and Lublin R.IX. The few RWD-9 built were used in several sports events and two were sold to the Spanish government before the outbreak of the Civil War. I am a bit surprised to see that IBG decided not to tackle (yet) the RWD-13 instead, as it was the most successful civilian aircraft produced in Poland up to the 1939, with many civilian and military operators.

I hope they will eventually do the RWD-14b Czapla light recon machine (the venerable ZTS Plastyk/Mikro72 kit needs retirement for sure) to keep in line with the types announced.
I wouldn't object to a modern standards' P.37 and/or P.23/P.43 either but that's asking too much perhaps... B)

I agree with youe, especially with part about RWD-13.
Romanian RWD-13 from Escadrila Albã (White squadron: Romanian medivac squadron equipment with those planes flown by aviatrixes, saved 1500 soldiers) would be interesting.

I wonder if they are planning to use common parts and so after PZL P.6 make P.7a and even maybe P.11a.

BTW, side note, only Pu³awski gull wings fighters used name with "P." like "PZL P.6", other had names just "PZL.37" without it. It was written in wrong way for many years even in Polish books.
