Thanks for the heads up on these Cliff, knowing how big they are, NZ$18.00 for two sets posted to New Zealand seems a bit spendy but I'll probably buy some anyway. They look better than the ones in the Academy Fw190A kit.

If memory serves me right (and you know how that is) the "high altitude" intakes are considerably slimmer than the tropical filters. Try googling Herman Graf FW-190, the one he flew is probably the most well known.

Great tip! I've been waiting years for somebody to make a good set of these in 1/72 scale. I ordered 3 sets myself. Now if someone would just make a really good resin prop set with those external weights at the root of each blade. ;)

Cliff, I've never seen Hasegawa's Graf kit. I'm wondering, if they were reviewed as being too narrow, perhaps they are proper high altitude intakes. The high altitude intakes as well as being slimmer and more streamlined, much like a Bf-109F-2 intake but longer, do not have the air filters on the sides. That being said, it would not be too hard to sand down a set of trop filters to get proper high altitude intakes.
Cheers,
Woody
