Was thinking about getting the Armycast conversion kit, but this really changes things.

Apache experts, is it possible to build an AH-64E from this kit? I have the Armycast conversion for the Academy A, but if this new tool provides a better starting point by combining this and some of the antennae from the Armycast, I'll go that route instead.

I have 2 of these heading this way!! Will report when they are in my paint stained hands!!
It would be nice if Armycast use some of their parts to make updates for this kit to do later variants! I have the Syhart Dutch demo bird decals to go on one of the two I get.

Should have done this before initial post!? Checked tracking and package is in Canada, could have them this week or early next, woohoo!! -_-

The Armycast conversion is quite nice.

Got 'em!!! WOW ^_^ ^_^
To sort of answer WW's question; it appears from collecting some reference pics that the E is basically the same as a D BUT has a bunch of extra lumps & bumps added to it. So far all I have seen referred to as an E is the Taiwan bird!? As always get a bunch of ref pics to be sure!!! HTH

I wonder if Academy is planning on other variants, as I noticed there's several panels that are separate as a nod toward that end... but then again, they've never done anything more for their P-38 either though. <_<

I's been bandied about by my Israeli friends that an AH-64D(I) Saraf may be in the works. If not, I'll adapt the Armycast set to this kit.

Cheers,

Larry

I'll be looking to do a WAH-64D, the first few could be done SFTB as delivered, but later ones would need the Armycast set for the HIDASS systems.

Hopefully Armycast will update/ amend their set to fit.

Got the kit yesterday. VERY nice indeed. And our suspicions about seeing more variants may be correct, if the sprue layouts are any indication.

Cheers,

Larry
