Announced over on ARC on a thread about the Academy Phantom. Let's hope they see success from those of us in the 72nd scale world.

Actually, this is a reversal in the thinking of a company that had stated in the past that they wouldn't do 1/72. (he has an explanation of his stance on Zone Five, you can read it whenever that forum comes back online)

So, Geoff testing the waters and trying to see if there is a 1/72 market is a pretty big deal for us.

He has quite a large number of Phantoom decal options in his catalog of 1/48 sheets. If he even hits half of those in our scale, that will add considerably to 1/72 schemes available. Currently for sale 1/48 sheets http://www.furballaero-design.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=1814 Sold out 1/48 sheets http://www.furballaero-design.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=1829

yep, one of each USN squadron

ARC has never struck me as particularly 72nd friendly.

It was better before certain individuals with issues at HS, found it and proceeded to try to drown out anything that didn't have anything to do with 1/48 jets. Unfortunately they did a pretty good job and drove off a lot of good people that have never been heard from on any web forums since.

Really sad state of affairs. <_<

Who was the manufacturer that not long ago released a decal for F-4s (IIRC) in BOTH 1/48 AND 1/72??? The price was 10 dollars...

I have searched but cannot find anything. Think it was a post on ARC...

Great news that more decal producers are trying our scale!

Hope somebody will soon tackle USAF subjects from the '50s and '60s. :D

Now let me get this right. The new Academy Phantom is a -4J right? & the Furball decals are fpr -4Bs?? So if you want to use them & they do look pretty nice, you'll need to go the Hasegawa raod, al least until Academy releases a -4B of its own.
I hope I'm right in this, as I have the Vagabond decals & a Hasegawa -4B but need a -4J to go with the Jolly Rogers -4J option in the Vagabond sheet. I thought I had a -4J coming from HLJ but when a -4B turned up I realised it was my stuff up. They don't seem to show any -4Js at present 'cept for a Fujimi one & I'm over waiting on any Fujimi kits thru them, I've just had a heap cancelled off my wait list.
