I'd like to see them take on a new Airco DH.2, as Lord knows the old Revell one is inaccurate and the Eduard is unobtanium and a tough build to boot.

Buz

Maybe you need to show them your RE.8 Buzz & hope that they'll see you & raise you one with their new one. :)

Ask and you shall receive, Steve! Below is a photo of my AIRFIX R.E.8 that I built in 2000! <_< Is 15 years still in the window? :o

I did one of those too, but it looks like you spent a lot more time on yours. I think I did mine in 2008 because I remember thinking it was 50 years old, so it was a decade further from kit first issue to my building it (1958-2008), than it was from the end of WW1 to kit first issue (1918-1958).

You know for a 50 year old kit it isn't to bad, but I'd gladly take a new tool of it.

I'm no WWI buff but am I right in thinking that both these aircraft entered service in 1915?

If so Airfix might be releasing others on their centenary as well. Wishfully thinking I know.

Be2 was much earlier, pre war IIRC.

Edit; Just had a google & Wiki gives;

"At the outbreak of war these early B.E.2s formed part of the equipment of the first three squadrons of the RFC to be sent to France. A B.E.2a of No.2 Squadron RFC was the first aircraft of the Royal Flying Corps to arrive in France after the start of the First World War, on 26 August 1914."

Edit again;

Although thinking about it, as this is a 2c, which was introduced in 1915, hopefully you're right about those future releases...!!
