Azur-Frrom will release soon two boxes of the well-known Delta. The first box FR0032 will cover the first version (one pilot, bipale propeller) used by TWA, Aerovias (Mexico) and AB Aerotransport (Sweden). The second box FR0033 is about the third plane (ex AB Aerotransport) in Spain, first in Spanish Republic, then in nationalist use.

Expected release date : end of January 2017 (for the Nuremberg Toy Fair)

Bravo, Gilles! LONG overdue in injected form ^_^

Are you planning another box with military applications (RAAF, RCAF to name two) or must we find our own decals? ;)

The RAAF's sole Northrop Delta would not be hard to find decals for..... there's a nice build in this thread

Roundels look standard and serial here.........

Seems like I've got a vacuformed conversion in the stash somewhere (Esoteric, maybe?) but I would much prefer a modern kit with decals and injected clear bits.

There are a lot of Azur/Fromm releases that I've liked, though they can be a bit of a challenge to build.

I have not my documents at hand, but I believe that the RCAF aircraft were slightly different from the first version, the main difference being the fin which was enlarged (plus two pilots, tripale propeller, which may not be too much of a problem).

For the moment, Azur-Frrom has no plan to go to the RCAF aircraft. That would need, very probably, a new fuselage, or at least a new fin. If somebody produces the RCAF Deltas, very probably he will include the floats.

We will publish soon some pictures of the test shots.

I've been hoping for a Delta for quite a while, so this is great. The RCAF used the earlier and later models (Marks I, II and III, the last with triangular fin and rudder.) I doubt the conversion would be very difficult, at least for the tail. However, while an RCAF Delta would be great, I'd rather do up this version as the sole USCG Delta, which eventually ended up as scrap in Eritrea, sitting next to that Gamma 2D I built a couple of years ago.

Some RCAF Delta detail and full scale photos for those interested. I guess I should update it with information about the RCAF versions of the Delta.

Yep. S/n #74, Coast Guard # V150. Damaged in accident, sold as is to Charles Babbage, repaired, civil registration issued December 10, 1941, and nothing more that I can find until it shows up in Eritrea in pieces in 1943. But I've got a good photo of it in the CG scheme (NMF).
