Looking good, seems to have avoided the error that Italeri made with the region in front of the pilot's canopy ...

Nice to see the fuslage shots.

If you are planning a MkV/MR5 then both the forward and rear main
hatches/doors should have clear perspex covers over cutouts in the
doors for a Crash Axe and Fire Extinguisher.

This photo from my personal collection shows the two areas in
the forward hatch

This is a close up of the Crash Axe perspex

Hello Alan,

Thank you for the photos. As you can see, our Sunderland have the port side front main door as a separate piece which is in the clear parts sprue and has the clear cutout shape incorporated.

Hello Alan,

I would suggest you re-read my post, I mentioned the rear
hatch has cut outs also, as per my attached photo

Your rear hatch doesn't have the cut outs where
a MKV/MR5 should

Before anyone jumps in, about me being pedantically picky, I will publically
point out, you had access to all this information along with my other
photos/information I supplied/you requested. You could have had a very
technically correct model.

There are other items I could point out, but with the moulds done its all moot now.

I won't bother with this any further.

Our hobby owe a great deal to those individuals who are willing and even eager to share their knowledge. Those who choose happily to model in blind ignorance are perfectly free to do so, it is after all their money and their time. However the rest of us welcome advice on how to improve the commercial products, and make them closer to the original they are intended to represent. Whether we act on such advice is of course up to our own skills and applications, but knowledge is a good thing.

Alan, I am so sorry that you seem to feel kind of hurt by that missing rear window. For all your previous help with this project I have nothing but to say how grateful we really are and I am sure that your possible further pedantical nitpicking may bring about more precisely prepared project even in this stage when the moulds are already finished or about to be finished soon. I am pretty sure that many omissions that we have comitted so far may be dealt with successfully some way or another. Mentioning that particular window, perhaps by using a piece of black decal immitating the cutout?

We can discuss this matter further via e-mail if you want.

PM with few more things sent....

It is a tiny tiny inaccuracy and will certainly not stop me from buying the kit when it appears.

Indeed, especially when they post pics to show what they are talking about.

Happily, that's the sort of thing I can correct if I choose to. Normally, missing or wrong transparencies are a bugaboo with me, since they can be so hard to correct, but in this case, it's minor.

I am glad it is disclosed, since I might not have noticed it otherwise.

Thought I'd wandered into the Swansea City forum for a moment there - we share the same predicament...!!

As to those windows, rather than black decal Petr, they would be ideally represented by some 'photo realistic' window decals, as are becoming ever more popular in airliner modelling.
