If you asked me, I'd also say the elevators are also metal. The third photo, taking into account shadows, would suggest that the underlying tone is much different to the yellow tone in the photo.

Yep, horizontal tail is silver (polished metal?) as well. Nicely done!

Edit: added that it's likely polished metal.

I'm a "green shirt" because I work on the carrier's flight deck and maintain US Navy aircraft. Safe sorties are my life so we can be anywhere, anytime -- from the Sea.

I especially like the dress code.

"Your coat, sir. Cannot look shabby after setting the record now can we?"

and quite a detective job it was :-)[

also, do note that the two air intake meshes, although not in the box artwork, will be in the kit. Made from photo etches of course.

This is a very interesting topic. I wondered what had got all those profile drawers and decal makers to think that it was overall yellow.
Given the difficulties of colour interpretation of black and white photos I presume they got their information from somewhere and I figured the place to look was in contemporary or as near contemporary accounts as were available. here are some extracts from the oldest Meteor references I could find.

The second is from Edward Shacklady's monograph on the Meteor and is part of a very detailed chapter on Meteor colours and markings.
The fourth is a contemporary newspaper account.

None of them mention silver wings but the pictures can well be interpreted that way. I'm not good enough at photo-interpretation to have an expert opinion. One interesting thing is that the aircraft's wings were replaced (it was a production line Mk IV fitted with longer span Mk III wings - exactly as how I imagine the kit will be formatted) so it's not out of the question that both interpretations may be correct although the sequence doesn't seem quite right.
