A few years back I bought this early RPM kit, eyes wide open and not expecting much. It looked pretty bad in the box, but gets worse as one trims the copious flash and tries to test-fit parts. Holey moley. Polystyrene, white metal (think Merlin) and the oddest looking copper-colored photoetch I've ever seen are all in the box. Any of you lot actually attempted this thing? At the same time I am starting RPM's later kit of the PWS 16bis trainer. By comparison to its stablemate it is of near Tamigawa quality. It's familiar to me as well, having built the nearly identical PWS 26 several years ago. |
