Valom Brigand T5 vs B1

A question for you chaps:

I have a Valom Brigand T5 but what I really want to do is a B1. I already have the markings (Freightdog I believe) but I'm not sure of the detail differences between the two types.

Valom will often provide the same plastic in kits that have different designations. Is that the case here? Can I build what comes in the T5 box and apply B1 decals to it and still be in the ballpark?

Any help appreciated.

Hi Kevin,

I have both kits in front of me & can see absolutely no difference in the parts.

And funnily enough they give you 3 detail pics in the instructions of both kits for the pilots cockpit & engines. They're exactly the same too - just captioned differently saying they are for the B1 or T4...!!

I actually believe the rear cockpit in the T4 kit is wrong as it is again the same as the B.Mk.1 kit, whereas in real life it had accomodation for two navigator/radar op. trainees or a trainee & instructor with the necessary equipment. So you'll probably be better building it as a B.Mk.1 out of the box....when I build my T.Mk4 I'm going to make a radar hood to cover the rear cockpit - pics do exist of them with the hood extended on the ground!!
