I too have that boonk, unfortunately it is currently buried somewhere in one of the piles of books/mags covering the model room floor (as well as many other square feet of floor space elsewhere that SWMBO nags (er ... voices displeasure?) about frequently) I was looking for it this morning when I started to make a 'C' specific parts list, so far no joy. |

I'm gathering info for a start on the Eduard Me110. As you chaps seem so knowlegable and helpful I'd like a little help too. I want to do a 110 of experimental group 210 during the BofB. I'd like to know the type of bomb rack(s) used. Were they the double type under the fuselage as on the 'E' or was it two single ETC racks side by side or a single ETC rack under the wing between fuselage and engine on each side ? I'd be eternally gratefull for this info as it's been a quandry for many years. All the best and thanks in advance, MikeyW |

FWIW note the line of rivets running in front of the wing. It looks as if this Bf110 was a D fitted with the large under-fuselage fuel tank ("Dackelbauch") - D-1/R1 (?) and then converted to a fighter-bomber D-1/B at a later date. |

Interesting observation there bil so as usual we seem to answered one question and opened up more. As for me I still would like to know about the early 110C in the BofB period. When Experimental group 210 were experimenting did they have the double under fuselage racks at thier disposal ? Were they having to improvise and inovate ? I await your input comerads. MikeyW. |

There's the book - buy it and see if the answer is in it. There's a lot of information out there, but you do have to hunt for it sometimes. |

Well... I posted the book's cover simply because it theoretically wouldn't be a problem for Mr. Vasco. At any rate, all the pictures in the book show the '110s similarly equipped if they didn't have the faired external 30mm cannon mount. |

. Me 110 - 210 - 410 by Mankau/Petrick http://www.amazon.com/Messerschmitt-110-21...d/dp/0764317849 is heavy on technical & historical text and maybe somewhat dry to read but gives a lot of insight on development. It also describes that there was a lot of step by step development, and that there seems to have been quite some difference between different manufacturers and different sub-variants. In short: hard facts of standard and equipment by variant seem to be a myth.... Rolf |
