purchased online the Hasagawa 1/72 scale OV-1B Mohawk .
being a rather old model the decal sheet is no good, but I managed to purchase the last IsraDecal Mohawk 1/72 scale decal sheet available from Hannant's., so i can go ahead and build the kit..
I plan on finishing the Kit in the US Army Vietnam 1968 version..

Curious if anyone has already built this kit,if they might have any pointers or advice...??

Thanks in advance for any assistance....

This is from back in the early 70s and can be built out of the box into a nice model. If you are looking for after market stuff, Cobra Company makes several add on sets that will really improve this little beast. They really improve the looks considerably. Timmay

Thank you TIM.. i went to their site and ordered the aftermarket kit, as i want to make the Mohawk look sharp as possible..

I am curious as to why No other Model company has not offered up the Mohawk in a Kit?? it is an appealing Airplane with a very interesting operational history... :) Oh well..

Again Thank you Tim, this will make the finished plane much nicer..

Roden do one in the 'other' scale. You'd think there might be more choice in 1/72, but I guess the marketing bods view it as a limited appeal subject.

Yeah i had seen the Roden in the other scale, but 1/72 is just right, and with aftermarket add ons, any one should be able to produce a "kick Ass" model.

Perhaps soon some one will come forward and go for a new 1/72 scale of the Mohawk.. There's soo many options as to finishing it, USGS, DEA, beside Military version... :)
