I would like to report that we have started work on the 72nd scale missile stripes, I was going start with AIM-120C, AIM-9X, AIM-9M, AIM-9L, and AIM-7P for the first set. Any others you guys need? I plan to do a Vietnam era set and a Dessert storm era set as well. Then foreign missiles like the Python and so fort.

Also please send me some photos of those ANG aircraft you want to see! I'll make them for you guys!

I would like to see more markings of top aces. Some of you may say that those subjects are cliched or too common, but I disagree. There are plenty of the more famous aces whose markings were never released or they were done so long ago or so poorly that they don't stand up to current standards. For example, I would love to make Richard Bong's P-38J "Marge". However, there isn't any decent decal sheet out there. Yes, Hasegawa did a special edition kit with nicely printed markings years ago, but they are too thick. Superscale did a couple of sheets 25 or so years ago that had some of his markings but they aren't accurate.

It's frustrating because there have been many sheets in 48th that were never done in 72nd. Aeromaster made a "US Top Guns" sheet a "USN & USMC Aces" not to mention Victory Models' "Aces of the Empire" Spitfire sheet. I would have loved to see those in 72nd but our scale got shafted on those...

One advantage of making more well-known aces markings is that they often sell better than your average lesser-known aircraft (depending on the markings) and that references are generally easier to find.

This is all just my opinion and if I were able to start my own decal company, that's the direction I would take for the first few releases in 1/72....

Noted, I will get on that and look into it, feel free to email us any reference material you have, there are only two of us, so we have our hands full at the moment getting the company off the ground. We just bought the domain sabrestardecals.com today...so we should be building a site soon!
