We were talking about terrorism way before that PLO post.

And I didn't apologize, all I said was that Palistinian terrorists are a bunch of pussies, and you're not a Palistinian terrorist, are you, Sal? And if you were, I wouldn't apologize.

Nah; The Palastinians are a bunch of pussies ( and I don't mean it in the good way ). Osama's dudes are like...dead right now, the US kicked their butts. Taliban...noone's heard anything about them in years. Who's left? hmmmmm Damn Bush killed all the terrorists! (madz)!! That old hag! I hope he dies right now!!!

Yes, we've had to fight to stay alive every day, and got kicked out of our homes by a giant clusterfuck of super powers, so yah we're definitely pussies.

Real men are scared of pussies because they provide shelter, food and clothing, etc for them even though they constantly diss their religion on a forum because no one will take them seriously outside of the forum.

He's talkin about Isreal, not Canada =P

Well, unless you've lived a day in my shoes, don't talk like you know everything about me (Y)

Dragon, I have no idea what goes on in your house, but from the few things you've posted here I get the image it must not be good. However, I feel as though you're trying to find something to blame for your troubles in life, and the easiest answer for you is "your" religion.

Don't get me wrong, I have absolutely nothing wrong against your disliking of Islam. That's perfectly fine. To not agree on it's teachings or messages is perfectly acceptable; however, denouncing 1.4 billion people worldwide, based on perhaps personal experiences, isn't acceptable.

Whilst it is undeniably true that there are Islamic fundamentalists that are the crazed, blood-thirsty creatures made out to be, the vast majority of these people are ordinary citizens who follow their religion the way it's meant to be followed.

Problems aren't Islamic-exclusive. All around the world there are bad things happening to innocent people even as we speak, regardless of religion, race, ethnic group, gender, or even soft drink preference.

This brings me to my second argument; your profound, complete, almost fanatic love of America. Like I said before, the US is a great place, and has done a great deal of good for the world, and is undeniably the most powerful country in the world.

However, just like every single thing that has ever existed on this planet and is to exist, it is not without it's flaws.
The government doesn't always truly have the best interests of the people at heart. The education system is found wanting, there is no public health system, racial tensions continue, along with a variety of other problems cross the country.

America is a country that prides itself at accepting people from all corners of the world and being one of, if not the, largest multi-national country on earth, having large communities of Asians, African-Americans, Latinos, Europeans, South Asians, everywhere. So then why your prejudice against Muslims?

The only reason that America is the "greatest country on Earth" is due to it's sheer size, vast natural recourses, and economic wealth. Several other countries, such as Iceland, would indeed be "greater countries" than America if they had the same size, recourses and population of America. It's just they don't.

In fact, Canada rates 4th on the HDI study (basically, quality of life), whilst America makes it at 12th.

You may face troubles in your life, but consider yourself lucky. You have a good education, can afford a computer (let alone internet), always have enough to eat, and lead a comfortable life. Most people don't have these luxuries...

Ok, I read it, but I really don't see your point. I'm gonna reply though, because I think you spent a lotta time writing that :/

Ofc, I'm trying to find something to blame for this, but it's not Islam. And, for the 99th time, Islam isn't "my" religion. pfff

Isn't acceptable to who? That's the question. But I'm not really looking for acceptance. I couldn't care less if everyone thought I was a mad man for disliking Islam.

That's what I don't like.

I've never said that Islam is to blame for all problems of the world. And if I have, I was definitely joking.

Let me put it this way: It's like loving somebody; They're not perfect, and they definitely have flaws, but your love for them is so...(what's the word I'm looking for here...) strong, that you really don't care, and only see the good things about them.

America is currently working on those issues.

Because I am not America. Because I am not a country that supports all religions of the world.

I wouldn't say the only reason, but those did help.

3- Slooooooooooooooooooooooooow :)
4- Haha, not exactly.

It's not acceptable to basic human morality. You're right, it's not that it's not acceptable, it's the fact it's completely illogical and utterly insane. If you don't care, fair enough. No-one cares anyway when you're locked up in a pillow-room :P

Fair enough. Just don't take it out on innocent people.

True. But I wasn't saying that you had said that, but rather all around the world, no matter where you go, there will always be major problems people will have to deal with.

5- I've never been comfortable really, except when I was a little kid. Everyday is a struggle. :|

1- At least you have an education, which gives you at least some later-life opportunities. Millions of children don't even get the basics.
2- It's still a computer. Which is more than most people on this Earth can claim they own.
3- (Same reason as 2)
4- Well, you never really go hungry for long periods of time. You at least get decent nutrients.
5- "Comfortable" doesn't mean having a nice sofa to sit your tired ass on. It means you don't have to work for 14 hours a day to earn $2 and live off potato scraps. You have a house, I'm assuming medical centres, a car, and so fourth.
Whilst you may not be happy with your family or friends or etc., just be grateful.

Yeah Dragon, listen to Laz, you may think your life sucks, but that's generally in comparison to upper-class people. Millions of people in the world don't even have proper clothes and shelter, yet you have.

Alright.

Comparing himself with people around him in his own country, you can say his living standards are average, to say the best.

best life u can have is when you (imo):

fulfill ur primairy needs (food, water, shelter)
have friends.
have a wife and a family
stop desiring so much.

edit:
some people actually do care about something higher: some like nature, some about other people etc.
Being active in this field also fulfills a important factor in your life. Some just cba.... I guess people don't really get it o_O.

See, I don't dislike Islam because Muslims ruined my life. I dislike Islam because of...Islam. I know what Islam teaches and forces people to do. I know a lotta things about Islam. I know things I can't even explain.

It's like moving to some place in Africa, and then finding out that the people there worhip a God who tells them to rape innocent children. Would you support that religion? Ofc, not. And that's the same thing with me and Islam.

Quote:

Just don't take it out on innocent people.

I'm not beating or hurting any Muslims. I'm just saying that I don't like Islam. If that's offensive to them, then that's not my fault. Like Sal posting stuff about religion, and then the religious people complaining about how Sal is offending their religion or something.

Freedom of speech FTW.

Americans aren't supposed to be supportive of every single religion in the world. America, the country, is. Americans have the right to not support any religion they don't wanna support. Are you saying that every single American in the world has to support Islam in order to be called an American?

Maybe those ( supposedly ) don't apply to America at this time, but every country has its ups and downs. Who knows, maybe all those problems will be fixed in 5-10 years.
