an excuse to go to war so that drains your funds and you need to "borrow" more dollars from the banks and they earn more money. I think thats the way it goes anyway someone might be able to correct me? |

People think that Bush is actually willing to kill thousands of Americans just so he could go to war to kill more people, so that he could have some more oil...People, you need to stop being America-hating retards. I know that your countries aren't as great as America, but jealousy is not good for you. Seriously, ask Jesus. *Gets ready for thousands of America-haters to flame the F out of him* |

You know, a few things really bother me about 9/11. First off we "commemorate" the dead by showing pictures of the violent and painful attacks including people suffering and dying. I don't know about you guys but when I commemorate something I do it with respect, decency, and honor. Raising a flag is suitable enough but shoving pictures of a plane exploding into a fireball while people fall to there death down peoples throats every year in not right. Secondly, why the hell do we only "commemorate" this attack on our nation? Why isn't there a moment of silence on December 7 to commemorate the attack of Pearl Harbor in the year of 1941? What I find suprising is how ignorant my nation is. The thing is not many people know the story of Pearl Harbor anymore. My third problem with 9/11 is the fact that the Republican party is actively and knowingly using it as propaganda to try and keep them in office claiming that they, and not the Democrats, are the only ones capable of dealing with such a threat while instilling fear in the general public. Yes, it was a tragic day and I am sorry for all that was lost. However, I feel the matter has gotten out of hand and the line needs to be drawn somewhere. I hope no one took offense and I didn't mean any harm. If someone took it as such I apoligize. |

Well, I think 9/11 should be commemorated because it relates more to modern conflicts than Pearl Harbor. Not that Pearl Harbon shouldn't be commemorated. But if we commemorate every single tragedy that happened to this world/country, we'd be commemorating almost every week :| Yeah, I know, I used "commemorate" way too much in this post :/ |

Why would I watch propaganda that doesn't have the facts straight? That's like only watching the democratic convention and not the Republican one. |

That day was more serious than any other war because innocent US citizens died, not soldiers. They shed the blood of innocent people who had no intent of what was going on. |

How about the millions of innocents in the Congo, Rwanda, Darfur? The innocent children in Uganda kidnapped to be child soldiers? But apparently the world only 'stands still' when America is involved. |

Lives are lives no matter whether they are in service or not. I take a civilian's life just as seriously as I would a serviceman's life. A victim's position in life does not justify it's government taking advantage of the terrible event that ended it as to promote itself and brainwash the public into doing its bidding. Nor does it justify that day being remembered over others. |

Does it make difference? About the bomb attacks in Madrid and London you never really hear something. |

No, it's because Bush makes a big deal out of it in order to use it as a form of propaganda. That's nothing compared to an earthquake blowing up an entire province. |

What makes American lives more important and devastating when some of them die compared to the many who died in the war of iraq. |

Yes. Innocent citizens died in wars too. Much more than on 9/11. People probably just consider it more serious because the dead innocent citizens were American. |
