Explain the goddamn joke.

After WW1, there were a lot of divided political parties and democracy was unstable and unproductive of improvements to the post war situation. It is because of this that dictatorships were very attractive, especially to the younger generation, because people want a government that will actually do things and give them something to believe in. All you had to do was rant about nationalism and actually getting things done and you're in.
