Wrong. Not all of them do. North Africans are from Africa and have straight hair. So erm, tell me, what is "Oriental hair" again?

Asians can refer to a variety of lets call it, "colouring" a filipinos/Indonesians/indians have darker/olive skin whereas Chinese/Japanese/Koreans have lighter or in some cases yellowish skin. So Oriental people are stereotypically Chinese Japanese Korean Singaporeans with lighter skin and hair less dark than say other asians, their eye colour is also often a lighter brown. So they look a bit black and white sometimes. Of course theres those middle groups like Thai and Malay, some have really yellow skin but some also have pale skin. it's like Blondes Brunettes and Redheads all being Caucasian. |

But Northern Asians are really more of Mongolians, Kazakhs, Siberians, etc. "Traditional" East Asians would be Eastern Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, as well as Southeast Asians like the Thais, Viets, Laosians, and native Filipinos, as well as a few others. |

Yeah but that are not really afro-african(some are) but more Arabs Oh yes and Orient is just the name of the "Far East" so China, Korea, Japan and sometimes used for South East Asia. So what is not understandable of that?

Mwa not really, but yes it can be used for the Middle East and the Near East. But it is East Asia nowadays.(Like the Orient-Express goes from Moscow to East Asia)

1. the Orient, a. the countries of Asia, esp. East Asia. -Dictionary.com I'm not disagreeing, but I'm saying that it's still a broad term that can be variable in usage. |

And thus it is both. And thus this pointless debate is done. Let us bury it and never speak of the discussion as to what the Orient means ever again. |
