Slow down Posts: 16,297 Group: Animals Member #1 Joined: December 12, 2007	from now on we rec and post them all imo first one: http://files.filefront.com/FFA1age3Yrec/;1...;/fileinfo.html (patch 1.01a) ichi vs incog vs sal vs me, brits vs ports vs aztecs vs dutch all 4 do a naked boom, no one feels like rushing or doing anything in colonial. at ~20 mins incog and me start fighting. i win and he revolts before dying. i should've taken down his factories but i'm stupid and decide not to waste any more time on him and go for sal's base. ichi helps sal defend and they decide to 3v1 me, precisely at the point where dutch are strongest in an FFA, in early imperial when the rest of the civs haven't maxed everything yet. i take out incog's factories, and then all he has is spies, giving sal and ichi intel about my whereabouts from then on. i take sal's base but not his vills, and i lose both my factories and only barely hold against incog's cannon heavy attack. at that point ichi has a big eco with around 1100 points vs my 900. sal has some big resource stockpiles left too (was it 700 points?) and rebuilds his base within ichi's walls. i go all out attack on ichi and attempt to take both of them out before sal can max his eco. aaaaaaaaand.... somehow i come out on top

Dutch > Brits with sal blocking your woods Xo

Slow down Posts: 16,297 Group: Animals Member #1 Joined: December 12, 2007	The actual smartest thing to do is make enough military in age2 to defend against a rush, while booming. remember how in every ffa we played i make military in age2 and still always end up with the best eco? going full rush is suicide. learn how to do a defensive boom, then open your mouth how to win an FFA: get all market ups as soon as you reach age2 and depending on your civ do either a colonial defensive boom or a defensive semi-ff. harass boomers and players who are attacking others. your deck is 100% eco, including vill shipments and cowing cards, even trade cards. only age to 5 if youre sure your army can hold. scout, make sure you know what others are up to, and look to expand and wall off as much of the map as possible. never make an fb in the centre. now in late game play defensively and negotiate with the other players. try to form alliances with powerful players, but never trust someone completely unless you have the better civ and/or score. if it starts to look like people will be teaming against you, threaten to delete all your vills and to go full attack on one of them. if this person is smart he will leave you alone because he doesnt want his own eco to get drained while his ally isn't spending anything. try to put them up against eachother. eco as much as possible so that you can afford to delete vills later. -win if you get rushed 2v1 or double teamed by 2 good players before 30 mins, there's nothing you.can do and you might as well resign:/
