He got a port put in on wed for the chemo, i had no idea that they shoot this stuff thru ur entire body, he's getting 3 treatments in a row (one per day) thru Sunday. So far he has NOT gotten really sick from the chemo, my sister said he just seems out of it... they can get really sick and throw up a lot right after. I get to see him tomorrow, today we are going to go help clean up his house (single dad not neat) and decorate his room for when he comes home in between treatments. GOOD NEWs, they did a spinal tap and found that the cancer has NOT spread, which is great news because they said they had two questionable spots earlier this week. :) My sis said you are supposed to have a flu shot before seeing someone that is undergoing chemo because their emune system is down BUT they don't even offer them until October...it's not even flu season (well except for the swine flu thingy). I go shopping tonight with his sister for his gift, she will be a big help!!!

life is grand :) Posts: 5,199 Group: A414A Member Member #105 Joined: July 20, 2008	i just got back...the eye doctor said his eyes have improved tremendously over the last week :) they have 5 more chemos scheduled and hope to do surgery IF the tumor shrinks enough..he is still not very functional because of the placement and size of the tumor BUT if all goes well and the tumor starts shrinking that should improve greatly as well...thanks for all those prayers and kind thoughts!!! I fed him twice and it took about 45 minutes each time but he's eating good so that's a plus...i rubbed his back, legs and arms and he seemed to really like that. My dad said he'd really like to see him smile so he said smile and...sigh...he tried to do one of his grins....such a cute kid!!!! Edited by Goodsbee, Aug 26 2009, 06:39 PM.
