IMO boxing is one of the most rigged sports out there. Now I like boxing if it's competitive; I don't really care if it is rigged if the fights are good. And I know wrestling's not a sport. I say that there is competition (a sport element to it) because you're competing with other people to look as good and be as visible as possible. To get the crowd interested in you, etc. But that's much like any other form of scripted entertainment. You've got to demonstrate your ability to be the best that's out there otherwise you won't go very far. |

Lol that went offtopic fast. @Topic, Reign of Terror anyone? I actually find the middle modern era (1700-1900, in Europe at least) one of the most boring time of all. The Middle Ages were kick-ass, with brothers fighting brothers and like massive wars waged in the name of religion. Then we find the fucking Americas and things start to get interesting... |

Reign of Terror brings memories of Diablo 2. Man that game is a classic, but I get bored of it really quickly whenever I try to play it again. |

I don't really like Jeff. Women absolutely love him (apparently, he's supposed to be hot), but I never really thought of him as being a very good wrestler in terms of his overall acting skill or his workrate. He can sell moves but he does the same thing every match, and the writers book him basically the same way every time. But man, though, he needs to keep his mouth shut. His promos are agonizingly bad. |

Yeah but thats what I mean. What is he doing differently that made him world champion? Yeah hes gay. My favourite wrestler even from WCW was Rey Mysterio. Although its annoying to watch because he always gets dominated. This took me back to primary school. |

Jeff's basically the same as he always has been. Though apparently his contract is expiring after the PPV that's later tonight and he didn't renew...so he'll be leaving most likely. He wasn't nearly my favorite though. Of the old guys from WCW (not talking about the current WWE people), best one IMO was Chris Jericho. He can have a convicing looking match with anyone and his promos are brilliant. |

A lot of times that they do it, they do it because the favorite isn't evoking the reaction they expect. When Jericho returned to WWE in 2007, they had him be a face (good guy) but his reactions weren't nearly as good as they could've been. Suddenly, they turned him heel (villain) and he's been getting louder boos than anyone in the company. Another major guy, CM Punk, whose positive crowd reactions were fizzling out, so they turned him heel and now he gets a LOT of boos. The opposite happens for heels who don't get as much heat as they could be getting. Melina originally was getting a lot of boos (she was a heel at the time) but people started cheering for her...then they turned her face and now she's extremely popular with the crowds. Or Triple H (yes, he's still wrestling). People just outright stopped booing him altogether so he went face and now he gets a lot of cheers. Other times though they'll turn someone heel or face and it'll be a disaster because of either how it was pulled off, or how the fans respond--the fans might not even boo or cheer like they were supposed to do, thereby ruining the whole thing. |

Yeah I remember Jericho coming back. Usually I have a rough idea of whats going on. I saw the CM punk thingy too. In all honesty sometimes I feel as though when I do watch wrestling I watch it more for the story line than anything else. |

I watch it for a blend of both. I enjoy matches that aren't horribly unrealistic and clumsy, but in all honesty a storyline never hurt. Unless the person(s) involved can't talk on the microphone, otherwise they may as well just keep their mouths shut and wrestle. |

I donno. A lot of boxers are interchangeable to me, really, whereas most wrestlers are not. But that's proabably also because I don't pay nearly as much attention to boxing as to wrestling. It's like...a good legit fight...or a good fight scene like from a movie. One is legit, one has awesome theatrics. Actually hard to pick. |

For one thing, women's wrestling is MUCH better than it used to be. They aren't doing degrading kinds of matches and storylines anymore and they're mostly legitimate wrestlers (people who have made the whole thing into a career, as opposed to porn stars who are just suddenly brought up to the roster). Yet despite that, a lot of them still manage to be very attractive (actually, I consider the best looking ones to be among the hottest people outright...they have athletic builds and aren't a bunch of twigs). Overall it's just light years ahead of what it used to be. There's a lot of people on the roster that I'm a big fan of both because of their ability to make convincing matches and for various other reasons. "Older" guys like Edge, Christian, Mysterio and Jericho aren't withered and drug-addicted like the old wrestlers of way back. They live healthier and it REALLY shows...they haven't lost a step from what they used to be and occasionally they're better, too. Then again none of them are really old, they're just aging well. The quality of everything else is better than it was several years ago. Dumb cartoonish storylines are done and dumb gimmicks are gone. It's obviously still all staged, but it looks a lot more respectable than it used to be. That's just a few examples of some things that are good about it these days. |

She's got a nice face but she's too slim for my tastes. I much prefer when a woman has a little bit of muscle and a little bit of body fat. Not to say I like bodybuilders or fat chicks (because I do NOT!). By the way I wonder what Ambrosio looks like when she's not airbrushed or covered in makeup. I don't mean that in a negative way, I really do wonder about that... |

sorry its just not a sport. Being a champion in wrestling does not mean a thing in comparison to sports like boxing. Riggings the same for every sports redemption. I dont think it happens much if at all in many sports at the highest level. Can I prove that it doesnt happen no so I cant really argue about it but IMO and I dont think you can argue at all with the fact that being the best team, player whatever you have is alot more prestigeous in a "real" sport than wrestling
