Over the internet? I could simply tell my agents in China to do it while you sleep.

I think those Jehovah's witnesses actually managed to convert me. I've recently purchased a crucifix from the internet, and I plan on crucifying an ape.

That's not Fox News. pfff That's the O'Reilly Factor, an opinion show on Fox News. Next thing you'll be telling me Red Eye is a news program.

I didn't watch the YouTube video, but I've always been under the impression that most capitals in Europe and America were full of crime and drugs. I'll watch your video later, but even though I despise O'Reilly's politics, if I had to bet, I'd say he's the one on the right (no pun intended) here.

O'Reilly is so fucked up. He shouldn't be allowed to have a tv show. The only reason it still airs is because people watch it for laughs.
In battle, in the forest, at the precipice in the mountains,
On the dark great sea, in the midst of javelins and arrows,
In sleep, in confusion, in the depths of shame,
The good deeds a man has done before defend him.

No. It's the equivalent of an op-ed in a newspaper.
It would seem to me sensible to associate the expressions of a program displayed on a television channel to reflect what is admonished by the channel itself.

LOL @ dragon defending Fox News. Even the opinion shows are still representative of Fox News itself. Besides everyone and everything on that channel is a complete joke except to far, far right people who can't think for themselves.

Okay, I'll see for myself. By the way, I was talking about the guy who made the video, not you.

Richard (and Andy?), I didn't defend Fox at all. But if Fox's opinion shows contradict each other (compare Beck to O'Reilly, for instance), how can it be that they all share Fox News' views? That makes zero sense. The O'Reilly Factor is an opinion show. A talk show. You know, opinion. Not news. Not representative of the channel's views. It seems everyone knows this except Fox's 'critics.'

Fox News is consistently rated as the most trusted, or one of the most trusted news sources in America.

(if you're going to reply with, "Americans are stupid!", I just want to congratulate you beforehand for your originality)

Seriously, what's wrong with you? Jesus Christ...
Appeal To Popularity:
Also called

* Argumentum ad populum ("appeal to the people")
* Quality By Popular Vote
* Any relevant population figure (sixty million Frenchmen, a billion Chinese, etc)
* Common Knowledge
* Sheep Factor
* Five Billion Flies (as in "Eat sh**, five billion flies can't be wrong!")
* Democratic Fallacy
* Everyone Knows...

The appeal to popularity is built around the belief that something is true (or false) because a lot of people believe it is. This is fallacious because it confuses whether an idea is justified with whether it is accepted. Demonstrating widespread support for something only proves it is popular, not that it is true.

Alice: "Don't you know smoking's bad for you, Bob?"
Bob: "Bah, it's just propaganda. If it were really bad for you, why would millions of people do it, hm?"

This is the standard version; the belief that a large group is incapable of being incorrect. The fallacy can also be inverted, however, with popularity being taken as a sign something is wrong

Bob: "Alice, what's that terrible noise coming out of your speakers? I thought you liked The Band."
Alice: "Geez, get with the times, The Band suck since they sold out and went mainstream."
