No it's Beth now. I guess I do get paranoid about stuff a lot. My sense of style is ridiculously bad. In winter I'll wear jeans and a sweatshirt everyday. So yea I don't think I'll try to talk to her until school starts again, or maybe never. Dragon I've never seen it, maybe I'll check it out. Thanks for all the advice and stuff, I really appreciate it.

i meant: no, girls like to work, they're ambitious if there's anything wrong with you it's probably that you think too much about what people think of you. you're perfectly likeable but you don't seem to know it. just trust me you are, and there's no reason for you to obsess over whether people may or may not like you. just assume they do and go from there. |

im thinking the walking faster thing is sign of dominance, your actions would give her the impression that you're permissive and when you're too nice to a girl they'll stomp all over you. thats what psychology tells me though, most of what incog said is right though. by being douche i meant be confident but its right for incog to say there different ways of displaying confidence, but honestly girls notice the steroid-induced jock way before they notice the comedian- if you get what i mean when i say that. |

i talk to boys all the time but that doesn't mean i like them >__> and LOL about girls being shallow. face it, the chances of us liking you if you are ugly, rude, arrogant are about the same as you liking us if we were fat, ugly and dumb. however, a lot of my girl friends and i agree that all we want is a guy who is nice enough and funny. he doesn't even have to be super good looking, built or stylish. different people have different things that attract them so don't generalise but i'd say that when it comes to being shallow.. don't whine that girls are "superficial" when you guys are exactly the same.. maybe worse.. a guy who doesn't necessarily look that great can go a loong way with a sense of humour and decent personality, can't say the same for a girl though. |

didn't realise you edited your post >__> anyhoo the argument isn't about who is shallowest, it's about how hypocritical guys can get when they whine about how girls are shallow when they are exactly the same. grow a pair, do some sport because it's good for your health, be decent and soon you'll also learn to be comfortable in yourself. don't expect girls to magically fall for you just like we don't expect you to fall for us if we don't take care of ourselves. |

even so, reading through the thread i felt the need to point out what i have. saying that, i'm not directing this at anyone and i didn't get the memo that this forum has become one which sticks on topics >__> anyhoo because i like jack i will put my few cents in: don't obsess trying not to be boring.. because you'll end up trying not to be which, will make you boring. read the news, develop a few ideas/theories of your own, develop your interests/hobbies/skills.. and if she wants to do her thing just let her.. don't take things personally, she might work because she needs the money, she might like having her space etc etc |

lol i was talking about high school girls being shallow, the pretty ones at least (the ones that always get complimented). very few high school girls are mature enough to value things other than looks and confidence. its not even about girl/boy "shallowness" it has to do with maturity. A lot of my friends ask me "shes hot as hell why dont you date and fuck her" and I'll tell them "because shes not my type" (personality) and they simply dont understand it because they haven't matured past the pubescent "in-heat, fuck everything around me" stage

i admit it took me a while to realise that i much rather a funny, nice, average looking guy than someone super hot but boring/dull kudos for not whoring yourself out to your carnal desires. i learn enough about stds to assure you that they are not fun things to have. |

I usually have ideas and theories of my own because I think a lot. Computer games are my hobbies, kind of boring. I like doing stuff outside too, I just don't have anyone to do anything with very often. I wish she'd've given me some reason instead of never saying anything to me again. She was a nice girl but sometimes I don't think she realized how mean some of the things she said were. |
