It's just I've studied Middle Eastern history and politics enough to know that the region (sans Israel, obviously) is hopeless, and anybody who rises to power either gets assassinated/overthrown or becomes a a tyrant. They don't call the Middle East the armpit of the world for nothing.

But that doesn't mean I'm aiming for a career in politics. Besides, if I wanted to further study politics, college would be the last place I'd go.
