Slow down Posts: 16,297 Group: Animals Member #1 Joined: December 12, 2007	people call it 2d minecraft. those people have not played terraria. the main differences: - minecraft is about building stuff, this is about finding/crafting the best weapons/armor and fighting strong creatures or eachother. however if you want you can build insane stuff, just not in 3d. - the combat is much more fun in this game, pvp or not - its a much better game - its a much better game - its just way way better - minecraft sucks this is awesome - .... - profit http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H2E700MX

In Minecraft there are very few item tiers, and exploration can be rather shallow; the only real virtue to minecraft is the player's capability to create - but even that is of contemptible value, once you consider that, unless you're exceedingly good, nobody is likely to care about any castles or houses that you make. Terraria is an adventure game of greater ambition, and playing it together would be cool and stuff.

They say it's much better than Minecraft, but I haven't played either game, so that's pretty much meaningless to me. The game you sent me didn't work, so I downloaded it off the Internet. The rar file came with some programs that it said have to be installed for the game to run. I installed them but haven't tried to launch the game yet.

Slow down Posts: 16,297 Group: Animals Member #1 Joined: December 12, 2007	backup for raiding dungeons/underworld, faster digging, pvp, item trading, etc yesterday we went to the ocean to the right and dug a hole at the bottom all the way to the underworld and flooded the place :D was awesome. i host that world all the time if we need obsidian so i can show it to you guys later if you want oh there's an update btw http://terrariapatches.blogspot.com/2011/06/terraria-patch-105.html dl, unrar, replace current folder with that and youre set.

It's a pain constantly having to build bridges and keeping the place lit. I think I'll do some more exploration on my own before I try multiplayer. Who do you play with?

Slow down Posts: 16,297 Group: Animals Member #1 Joined: December 12, 2007	RL friends. the only one you know that ive played with is andy but that was only for 10 min. it's kindof a pain to play with someone who has all the good stuff and you don't though, because they'll go in dangerous places and you're basically constantly following them around relying on them to kill everything. if you want (although i don't recommend it because it removes a lot of the fun you can have in this game) i can give you items that i have spare and you would find quite insane ;/ i plan on playing this new "hardcore mode" which makes it so your character is actually dead (gone) when you die. if a bunch of you guys on forums start playing at the same time ill start a new char and play with you. it's safer with more people :P

If I have a lot of free time tomorrow I'll finally be able to play the game properly. I hope the world isn't too small, though. I remember doing everything that could be done in Runescape in just a few months.
