What do you mean by stability? I don't have any Internet problems. I rarely disconnect. I only lag when playing on Voobly. I've never had any problems with any other online games. This is a pretty recent problem, by the way. I used to play AoM and AoE II all the time on Voobly while using WiFi and never had even a slight problem. One of the reasons I despise playing against them. They are my bete noir. Dragon you should make villagers up to 99 and upgrade your dudes. You had enough resources for 4 imperial upgrades yet you had veteran longbow. silly ..unless you didn't have the guard/imperial card upgrade for longbows.. which you HSOULD have if you're going late game with them. ^^

Field Marshal Posts: 15,575 Group: Member Member #40 Joined: January 19, 2008	Yeah, I know I made countless mistakes, but I think I made up for them by keeping yellow on the defense and nearly destroying his economy with cavalry raids. I had a crap deck, too. I wasn't expecting to use any unit except musketeers and grenadiers. I was going with my version of the British musketeer rush -- which worked nicely against the other fellow in previous games -- but it somehow failed spectacularly against this guy, so I decided to change to lbow/dragoon.

Posts: 21,769 Group: French Member #6 Joined: December 13, 2007	If you're going to play FFA you need to assume you're going into lategame anyway so having more eco and military upgrades is better than resource or unit shipments. That means you need to plan on using every useful unit you have. Lbows are Brit's only RI. shift+number is control groups, and yeah those are the most important. if you get into 1v1 where things are a bit more fast paced, I recommend you start using things like TC/rax/stables hotkeys. though you said yo couldn't use them? why atm my setup is something like: ctrol groups 1 to 4 go to units (1 for RI, 2 for HI, 3 for cav and 4 for cannons (i split up 2 and 3 for only cav early game as i do only cav starts atm) q selects all rax, then Z for xbow, e for skirms, a for musk, idk about pikes lol s for stable, e for hussar, d for goons, c for cuirs,z for uhlans t for tc, v for vills, h for homecity : for explorer, use that one a lot atm edit: oh and spacebar for idle vills. really good when you see you've got 2 or 3 idle vills, hit space and rally them to whatever resource feels like it needs the most. i also use f1 as the "select all units of same type" which is great Edited by Incog, Jul 22 2011, 01:04 PM.

But I'd already played against Blue a couple of times and had no doubt I could easily beat him with whatever units I had after taking care of Yellow. But Yellow was surprisingly good and put up quite a fight. I got so focused on keeping him from destroying my forward base that I complete ignored everything else in the game. I was under the impression I could end the game in 20 minutes. Posts: 21,769 Group: French Member #6 Joined: December 13, 2007	well it can be easy even with a pained left hand (go fix that!) to just use rax/stables/TC/HC hotkeys. press once and the click on whatever unit you want to make. it's what gs does and it's the reason i don't know my pike hotkey. though you need to be a bit quicker with the mouse, nothing impossible ofc

Voobly probably still sucks, but we'll try it first and see if it works today. I don't think I'll play, by the way. I don't like 1v1v1/1v2 games.

Posts: 21,769 Group: French Member #6 Joined: December 13, 2007	Well if he's going to FF then he's going to leave you alone for a bit. do a cav start with hussars to raid. it'll hurt him a lot. in the mean time manor boom, get market upgrades and you should be really ahead in eco and military unit count
