I'm looking to make a large collection of extremely dark, psychedelic, trippy, mind-fuck songs... I'm not looking for any particular genre, rather more for a mood and a tone created by the songs... I'll start with 3 examples, please add more, I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys like in this particular sort of music. You don't have to add links, I can look the song up myself if you write down the name and artist. Thanks =D This is a track from the upcoming film: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, its by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (Gets stronger towards the middle and end) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5uDh_xoXsg&feature=player_embedded This is "Judith Renholder Remix" by A Perfect Circle (Song changes dramatically at the 1:25 mark) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5lgXOQOq6E This is "Take Me Into Your Skin" by Trentemoller http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0XwOjSpdbc Edited by Ali Skahir, Aug 21 2011, 12:46 AM.

In battle, in the forest, at the precipice in the mountains, On the dark great sea, in the midst of javelins and arrows, In sleep, in confusion, in the depths of shame, The good deeds a man has done before defend him. | |

I like listening to music that transports me to the deepest darkest parts of the human psyche. I do it late at night when I feel like I'm about to drop on the floor, because I stay up making models. Then I start to feel like I'm losing my mind; My head starts to sway from tiredness and the slow swaying rhythms of the music matches. and I do this regularly, day after day, staying up till 3 or 4 am, waking up 4 hours later to go to class. The music fits the mood so well.... Especially a song like "Reflection" by Tool. I Suggest Skipping to 3:40 if you don't like ridiculously long guitar intros. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIm6yJGjgEM I love it. Edited by Ali Skahir, Aug 22 2011, 01:39 AM.

Get yourself a mirror then at 2am dim the lights so you can barely see and just stare at your reflection for an hour, make sure it's silent and try not to blink often. Use noise cancelling head phones playing white noise for added effect. |

Architectural models. He designed the Colosseum, I hear, and I must say that I do not dispute it, for it was information given to me from a most estimable authority, I do assure you; I would never have said it if I had doubted the credibility of what I heard. |

Disabled comments, eh? Frightened of trolls? Exceedingly good, nonetheless. If I had knowledge of architecture, I could probably identify all the fine points upon which you particularly succeeded. |

Pretty much living for the weekends over the Summer, cant wait to go back to uni. Thats the only real major things going on with me right now. What about you Sal, what have you been doing recently? I've been working out all summer. Ever tried p90x? It's pretty intense, but I've been on vacation the whole summer so I haven't had access to weights. I've been using the resistance bands which aren't as effective, but I've still gotten some pretty noticeable results. Especially their chest and back workout. It's intense as fuck, you don't need and weights at all to get results from that one. The arms exercise is kinda weak without weights though, so not much luck there. Other than that I can't wait to get back to uni and canada too, I miss my friends and all that. And man you never know, some people are pretty flexible in the things they'll talk about. I talk about all this stuff with my friends so I don't talk about it here. I come here to talk about the things I don't talk about in life, like serious discussions. That doesn't mean I won't talk about other stuff on here too if people mention it. |

This is what im talking about. I would rather talk about something like working out rather than argue about all the shit Dragon likes to talk about. I heard of P90x somewhere before but no idea where. I just been doing dumb bells and taking protein. Not doing it regularly enough to get really big but enough to notice a difference. |

thing is adams if you wanna talk about trivial stuff like that why go on a forum? the best thing about a forum is that you can say whatever you want and people won't get all emotional on you, or not as quickly at least. and taboo subjects aren't taboo any more. what's the point of talking about working out lol |

well there's no point about not talking about anything if the discussion is good. besides, working out is an interesting topic because a lot of people seem to have a problem doing it right. i myself might start working out seriously if i can muster the motivation. |
