The littlest things

Brakes had pretty much no effect unless you where going 10 mph. So I'm driving to school and this huge SUV comes around the corner in front of me and starts swerving. Seeing this, I tap the brakes to slow down, but it only causes me to swerve. So basically I could either ride it out or go in the ditch. As we closed to about 50 meters apart, the SUV cuts across the road into my lane on two wheels and runs into the ditch. It didn't roll or anything but it made a big cloud of snow. It was pretty sweet. As I drove by I looked through the window and saw, yep, you guessed it, a woman. She was crying because she was totally fucked and there was no way she was going to get her car out of that, so I kept going. tl;dr: some crazy bitch almost killed me Anyways, if I had woken up 1 second earlier, gotten out of the shower 1 second earlier, eaten breakfast 1 second earlier, drove a little faster, I would've been in the ditch with her and my car and I would be fucked up. Everyday the littlest things we do can have huge impacts on our lives. It's pretty crazy tbh.

I've had such thoughts before. but imagine you had done everything 1 second earlier... maybe you'd have done something else to slow you down or something and you'd still be alive. Either way, women on raods.

It's pretty crazy tbh. if you went to bed a second earlier you would wake up a second sooner too. meaning that if you played LoL a second less it wouldn't happen. meaning if that one guy clicked the surrender button 1 second sooner it wouldn't happen. and that one guy got distracted by a butterfly for 1 second before clicking surrender and there you have it. the butterfly effect. butterflies almost get people killed every day. Its even scarier to think about how small things have affected your life. My best friend got held back a year in school. Now if he hadnt got brought back a year how different would my life be. Then when I think about a lot of ways hes influenced me, its possible I could be a very different person... weird

It's like, had your friend not been held back, would you have really been that different a person or not? Possibly yes, but how different? And how different would your entire life have been compared to just this handful of years. I for some reason feel not that different.

All the friends that I've met through him. Things would be completely different. All the small things can lead to a big thing though. I might have went to a different university.
