yeah i noticed. didn't feel forced though, it wasn't just there for its own sake but mostly as a plot device. gotta say i'm pleasantly surprised by this "game" (still umineko >) but i have no idea whether it's actually something i should recommend to people lol |

yeah if only. you'd first have to establish yourself as an artistic genius before selling terrible shit for millions of $ which in my case, nope also http://esportsexpress.com/2014/07/the-dark-lord-returns-to-starcraft-2/ |

I heard code academy is pretty good, never used it. I'm too old to learn new things. |

yeah i'm scared of not being sharp any more considering medical science is leaping forward with an insane speed it's likely that we'll grow very old but i'm wondering whether life can be any fun without a sharp mind. most of my current hobbies rely on it.and i know how you feel jack, the decline for me is already quite noticeable when i play RTS, even in aoe3 i can't even get close to my old level any more. then again i also have a lot less time to play so idk. but programming is not just another language that you learn as you go. it requires logical, systematic, often mathematical thinking and those are all things i'm better at now than i was as a child. it's not a language of words but a language of logic and while you will learn the syntax more easily as a child, grasping the logic behind it is easier as an adult i've found. anyway you need a goal. learning to code for the sake of learning to code does not work, you need to have an application in mind that you want to build. however, with that in mind, going into the basics is likely to give you ideas as you discover the possibilities (which are endless) and, perhaps more importantly, discover how much you can do with just the basics. i've built a chess program with relatively basic stuff and while my program is inefficient and terribly long compared to the good ones, it does work (admittedly it's not very smart). also on an unrelated note, interestingly KS seems to be gaining a lot of ground in the mainstream. http://www.reddit.com/r/katawashoujo/comments/2cinxr/about_the_recent_hype/ it's not surprising considering its quality, but in a way it also is surprising. play it i'm quite curious about you guys' opinions. expect feels. |

Loosing the sharpness of ones mind is a scary thought indeed. Would anyone here ever consider downloading your consciousness, memory, and personality (or pretty much your complete mental existence) onto a computer even if that meant giving up your flesh body? I would do it in a heartbeat. You could always control a robot in place of a flesh body! |
