It's a gorgeous game, if anything.![]() It's also a pretty hard shooter, I've played some of it and it takes quite a few rounds to take out enemies at range. it's not an easy shooter i guess. stealth shooter? hard to say. i think being careful about your engagement goes pretty far and the AI is dangerous as fuck. much more so than FC2 |

Wow arma actually looks pretty realistic. Except it looks like enemies take more bullets than they should. That's kind of dumb. |

If you shot someone in a bullet proof vest with that gun they would be on the ground and probably in no condition to fire their weapon for the next 10-15 seconds. But yea some shit is just hard to simulate. |

If he was shot by the gun incy was shooting he would've been crawling on the ground gasping for breath. Not all guns are created equally. On the second vid I'm pretty sure the bullets only have half the normal amount of powder behind them. The gun hardly recoils and his body doesn't even flinch. If that were fully powdered ammunition he'd have huge ass bruises on his gut. Edited by Jack the IV, Aug 21 2014, 07:39 PM.

No it doesn't have anything to do with the gun power in this video. Jam is right that it is the types of body armor. Plate armor disperses the energy throughout a larger surface much better but is heavier and bulkier. You cant say one gun was more powerful than the other based off of these videos for a couple reasons. 1) you said it, not all guns are created equal. You cant go off of the gun require. Some guns have a great recoil rate, and the price of them is parallel to that. Give a 10 year old a typical police standard 9mm and they probably wont be able to hold onto it once fired. Give them an AK series gun (much more powerful shot) and they can fire several shots like it is nothing. It is all based off of the recoil absorption of the gun. 2) you cant go off how much the guys moved. The first guy movement was intensified with the pain he felt that the first guy did not. |

You ever shot an ak series gun? My friend has an sks which fires the same round an ak does. That thing bucks and I doubt a 10 year old could shoot more than one round that was anywhere near accurate. Even if if is actually an ak-47 (i'd guess it's a 74) that armor is so thick, heavy, and impractical that it would never be worn in the field. Ceramic plate usually shatters after one round (much lighter) That appears to be steel or aluminum or some sort of mixture. I would be interesting to see how it holds up to depleted uranium or tungsten rounds. |

Yes I have actually. I have a couple buddies that own them. I didn't say the round wasn't powerful, quite the opposite really. The gun itself though has virtually NO recoil. It is a war gun. Shoot a less powerful 9 mm, and then shoot the AK, BIG difference. The gun is designed to shoot several high power rounds in seconds, and absorb nearly ALL of the recoil. I was just pointing out that you are correct that all guns are not made equal. Yes, ammunition power is one aspect, but the way the gun handles is as big if not even bigger. My 8 year old son (if I would let him) could probably not safely point a standard 9mm and shoot it without dropping it or hitting himself in the face with it. The AK on the other hand (once again, if I would let him, he is still a bit young), he could shoot that sucker and handle it just fine. Edited by ryker, Aug 25 2014, 04:40 AM.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIR651prjJw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FxSPAEbj48 A lot of it comes from how the gun is held but the point is the ease of one gun compared to the other given the difference in the power of the rounds. Edited by ryker, Aug 25 2014, 04:44 AM.
