New To The Scene; Just a quick hello message from myself!

Morning everyone!

Just saying a quick hello to all currently active members and admins etc.

I bought a Levin AE111 from a friend back at the end of January, but as silly as this sounds we don't know exactly what model it is (BZG or V - it's definitely not an R)! The guy before us two had it had no clue and never asked the previous owner before him. Hopefully someone can help with that. (I don't have any pictures to upload right now as I'm not on my own PC)

The car's engine was trashed when we got it but thanks to some help from VTEC Direct in Cheshire it got running again. It's been running rich for a while but will hopefully get sorted soon, and it bogs down under 3,000rpm - again, hopefully being sorted.

I may need some new brakes, an air filter and some other bits and bobs further down the line, so does anyone have any recommendations for where to get AE111 parts from? Is there a certain person in the scene or dealer I should contact?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I look forward to speaking to some of you!

Cheers,
Chaz

Welcome along!

To figure out your car's original model you can input the chassis id into toyodiy and it'll tell you what model it is.

I'll leave it up to one of the UK members to comment on dealers near you who handle parts for the 111.

In the meantime, welcome again and good luck getting your remaining engine issues sorted, have a read on here as those aren't uncommon symptoms. Replacing the o2 sensor often helps with the rich running and I seem to recall one of the other sensors can lead to bogging down around 3k revs.

Welcome along!

There is a few things to determine what model the car is, for example the suspension, engine, gearbox etc.

As for the brakes I'd advise ordering them via this link:

http://www.mtecbrakes.com/brake-discs/toyota/levin-95-00/levin-1-6-ae111-05-95-12-00.html

Your local motor factors should be able to supply you with an air filter and also I have a short shifter for sale that I bought a couple of months ago but then decided not to fit it.

Conor.
