Every time i drive my car there seems to be another problem i find, oh well

When i drive for about 15mins the temp gague doesnt move from cold but if i leave it to idle for the same time the temp gauge goes to warm (normal) but when i drive off the gauge goes back to cold. I am thinking a sticking thermostat staying open.

Has anybody else had this problem?

Yup its the thermostat... cheap to replace (well here anyway) you just need the thermostat and the rubber ring that goes around it, I find most jap imports have never had it changed

I had my eye on a TRD low temp thermostat as it goes but my mate has one in his galanza and says that it takes the heater ages to warm up and is a pain when its a cold morning

Fudge it i think that i will be placing a order. Is there anybody that sells them that is cheaper than fensport?

I e-mailed them about a week ago to no reply about the TRD oil filters as they list them under universal parts with the thermostat

if you want a TRD one order it through toyota (hopfully there not to over priced there?)

a normal temp one cost about 14nz$ so bugger all... a 4afe one is the same from memory... local parts shop will sort you

That will be a problem for me as i visted my Toyota dealer the other day and they said that they cannont and will not sell me any parts as they have a zero tolerance policy on imports- they do not even work on them.

I asked the parts manager there and they had never heard of TRD and said that it was called TTE so that shows how much they know.

E-bay USA seems to be the cheapest option for uk shipping

damn man... they sound like Looses, They shouldnt be aloud in the toyota Biz

For all its worth I wouldnt use a TRD thermo, Its best to have your engine up to the temp it was built for, and this also cooks all the moisture out of your exhuast on short runs (meaning it wont fail as quick)

I have a TRD thermo sitting infront of me thats ment for a blacktop, yet it is to large for a blacktop housing, (will fit a 3sge I think) But TRD and toyota say it will fit... so if you order one and end up with the same problem could be a huge hassle for you. its a SP010

Goto your local parts story easy :)
