i'd say it might go inalright...but if you have a 6 sp gearbox i'd be putting the hole lot in and smash that 5 speed off the ground! :P

Like dub-levin said, the diff isn't inside the gearbox, its connected to the Gbox in some manner though :)

haha People!!

The diff is INSIDE the gearbox. Since your gearbox is a C series yes the lsd can be put in the 5speed, the BZV spec levin comes with the same LSD stock in the 5speed.

The diff will fit in a GT starlet if it didnt come with a stock lsd (stock lsd uses another housing)

To swap them its abit of a job, remove and split open the gearbox... the gear on your old diff needs to be unbolted and put onto the new dif/LSD as the 6speed final drive isnot the same.

will throw pics up soon

This pic show the diff in the top right corner, inside the gearbox

This is a factory torsen type lsd, the crown and pinion in this box are stuffed its what happends to the 6speed gearbox if you abuse them, the crown and pinion is weaker than the 5speed and turns to mush....

yes, the lsd helps alot, in my view if your racing the car a c56 (5 speed) and an lsd is the best "stock" option

lsd = heaven for driving, makes the car very good to drive, even when driving hard in the wet.

dont have pics sorry.
a open diff will have a pin going though the center and should be able to see though the other side of the axle hole, while the std lsd's look solid (cant see thought it)
