What's the legal DB levels; in your country?

Just wondering does anyone know the legal db level that is allowed from an exhaust. Got asked today to rev my car for a servay in collage and was 100db. I know its over the limit for sure but wat is the limit????

Think it's 90 something, 92db springs to mind for some reason

UK i thought there was no legal DB limit, although there is some sort of guide line? they can by all means do you for a number of other things though, i'm not sure on the subject.

Just read in our local free sheet paper last week that the Gardai in Tullamore now have dB meters- though no talk of a legal sound limit!!! and also UV light meters for tinted windows.....
A local judge said...' these people (as in us drivers) are not criminals, they are enjoying a form of free expression (as in -taking pride in our cars) and should not be thought of as troublemakers'....mmmmmmh I'll clip that out of the paper and carry it in my wallet then!

legal limit is 95db and if you got motorsport licence then you're allowed to go up 98db.... that's holding the rpm at 5,000rpm i think or 4,000rpm.... kinda forgot but got the certificate somewhere at home in nz....
